Dianne Rosen Pallmerine, CELA*, has a solo elder law practice in Shelburne, Vermont. She has concentrated her practice on areas of concern to clients with long-term care needs and disabilities since 1994.
Attorney Pallmerine was active in the formation of the Vermont Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and was its first President.
Attorney Pallmerine has given talks to community and professional groups on elder and disability issues. Since 2004, she has participated as the panel member from Vermont at the Northeast (formerly New England) Elder Law Symposium organized by the Center for Advanced Legal Studies of Suffolk University Law School and the Massachusetts Chapter of NAELA.
Her professional associations include NAELA, the Elder Law Committee of the Vermont Bar Association, the Elder Law Section of the New York State Bar Association and the Elder Law Section of the New Jersey Bar Association. She is a former Secretary of the New Jersey Bar Association Elder Law Section.
She was the only attorney in the post-graduate Certificate in Gerontology Program offered by the Rutgers University School of Social Work, in 1995. Many of the legal issues facing people with disabilities and older people are driven by their health care needs, so law and social work concerns often overlap.
Dianne graduated from Pace University School of Law, cum laude and with a Certificate in Health Law.
