Rebekah Wightman
Corbett Gwilliam, PLLC,
Rebekah became interested in estate planning early in her life following the death of her maternal grandfather. Her grandfather was a hardworking man of means. Unfortunately, he didn't do any estate planning until very near his death, leaving a variety of loose ends that would not be tied up for years. She saw first hand the frustration and emotional strain that resulted from planning so near the end of his life and the almost war like back and forth between her grandfather's attorney and her family following his passing. As a result, Rebekah is passionate about getting estate planning done early and getting it done right.
She is straightforward and earnest in her desire to help her clients make a plan that works for their individual circumstances.
Rebekah is a graduate of the University of Utah, S.J. Quinney School of Law. She is a member of the Utah State Bar. She was born and raised in Oregon but moved to Utah in 2006 to attend Brigham Young University where she studied international relations. Rebekah married Parker Wightman in 2009. The couple has two sons. Rebekah has been interested in estate planning and elder law throughout her education. Rebekah completed an Elder Law internship with Utah Legal Services during her second year of law school. She has been privileged to volunteer for the Wills for Heroes and Serving Our Seniors programs through the Young Lawyers Division of the Utah State Bar.
