Profession LogoATTORNEY

As a child, I lived with my parents and sister on the second floor of a home owned by my grandparents. I had the unconditional love, support and encouragement of both my parents and grandparents. Family was always first.

After graduating from Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT where I was co-captain of the basketball team, I earned my law degree from Suffolk University. Following law school, I was hired as an associate in a general practice firm, gaining experience in several areas of law. When my grandfather died in 1985, I assisted my grandmother in organizing her own finances and estate plan. After seeing what a relief that process was to my grandmother, it became clear to me then that I could make the greatest difference for my clients and their families by focusing my practice in the area of estate and elder law planning.

I often say that I am a teacher and a coach who went to law school by accident. I have devoted my career to taking care of families by educating clients about estate planning and elder law, designing plans that fit their lives now, and updating and monitoring the plan on a regular basis. But it’s not only about designing good estate plans; it’s about taking care of families when it really matters.

Firm Description

As an elder law and estate planning firm, we have dedicated our practice to helping greater Boston residents take care of their families since 1990. That is our mission. To take care of families when it really matters.

There is an epidemic in estate planning of wills and trusts that simply fail. Why? Because plans are woefully out of date and do not take care of families when it matters. Often, the only thing these documents provide is a false sense of peace of mind. Documents alone will not take care of your family. Your life will change, laws will change, your family circumstances will change and your assets will change.

Our approach focuses on you, your family and the changes that your family will go through. Whether you’re looking to protect your home from the nursing home; create a will, trust or power of attorney; looking to get your affairs in order to make it simpler for your family in the event of your death or disability; avoid probate; save taxes; helping mom and dad start thinking about their estate plan, or you’re looking to update or review your current plan, our dedicated team can help. It’s never too early and never too late to plan. We not only help you create and design your plan; we also maintain and update your plan. We will never bill you by the hour and instead work on a flat price basis. Our maintenance program is the model used by numerous firms throughout the country and helps thousands of families ensure their loved ones are taken care of when it really matters.
